Workers organize rally in Edmonton to protest changes at Canada Post

Postal workers held a public rally in Edmonton this weekend to protest the changes with mail delivery.

Canada Post announced last month it would be doing away with door-to-door delivery and increasing the price of stamps.

Thousands of jobs will be lost, though the corporation expects it would largely be through attrition.

Officials have said Canadians are using the postal service less and less and the changes are needed so it doesn’t become a drain on taxpayers.
