The City of Calgary is compiling comments on the McKnight Boulevard Transportation study and will now start developing design options.
Online feedback and public display boards closed Friday.
Zeeshan Abdy, transportation engineer with the City of Calgary, said the aim of the study is to optimize travel on McKnight between Deerfoot Trail and Stoney Trail.
“We’ll be looking at improved signal timing and coordination, possible lane reversal and other matters,” said Abdy.
He said Calgarians have identified the weaving that drivers have to do to travel from Deerfoot to McKnight as the most difficult part of that corridor.
Phase Two of the study will look at the effect of implementing carpool lanes.
