STARS unveiling new helicopter

STARS Air Ambulance is set to show off their new helicopter Friday.

The new chopper will run in the Calgary area and is similar to one already in use in Edmonton.

The AW139 will be faster, carry heavier loads, offer service to a bigger area and be able to fly through harsh weather conditions.

The old chopper will now operate in the Grande Prairie region and act as a backup for Calgary and Edmonton.
