Two Calgary stabbings send three men to Peter Lougheed Hospital

Several men are spending their Saturday in hospital after two separate stabbings.
Det. Dale Seddon said the first happened around 10:15 p.m. Friday in the northeast community of Monterey Park, where a woman called saying a man had been stabbed at a house party.
“On our arrival, the victim, offenders and witnesses had left the scene,” he said. “A short time later, the staff at the Peter Lougheed Hospital contacted us and indicated they had two males there suffering from stab wounds.”
Their injuries are non-life-threatening and police continue to speak with witnesses.
The second attack was several hours later in the area of 36 St. and 17th Ave. S.E., although the precise location is still unknown.
Seddon said once again, hospital officials called, saying they had a man suffering from stab wounds.
“We’ve attended that location, his injuries are quite serious, they’re being obviously attended to by medical staff, but it appears as though he got into some sort of altercation,” Seddon said.
Police do say he was at a shisha bar earlier, but it isn’t clear if that’s where the attack actually happened.
