Toyota issues recalls

Toyota is recalling 1.9-million Hybrid Prius cars around the world, mostly in North America and Japan, for a software glitch that could cause the vehicles to stall.

The Japanese automaker’s recall affects nearly 14,000 Prius cars in Canada, built between March 2009 and February of this year.

There have been no related accidents reported.

Toyota Canada is also recalling about 25,000 other vehicles: Rav4’s from model year 2012, and Tacomas and Lexus RX-350’s from 2012 and 2013.
