Deadly crash west of Calgary

A crash just west of the city has claimed the life of one person.

Just before 1:30p.m., emergency crews were called to Hwy. 22 between the TransCanada and Cochrane to reports of a collision.

EMS spokesman Adam Loria said the crash turned tragic.

“One person was determined deceased on scene by EMS just due to the injuries sustained in the collision” he said.

An adult man was also treated at the scene. He is listed in stable non-life threatening condition.

There is no word on what caused the collision.
