Man stabbed to death downtown

Traffic in the core on 4th Avenue between Centre and 2nd Street SE is once again flowing, after being blocked for around 12 hours as police investigated a suspicious death, which happened early Friday morning.
Duty Inspector Joel Matthews told 660News, around 3:30 a.m., a man walked into the Delta Bow Valley Hotel and collapsed.
“CPS arrived with EMS, EMS transported the male to the hospital where some time later he was pronounced dead; he had succumbed to his wounds, ” he said.
Matthews said they are trying to determine where the attack took place.
Anyone with information is asked to call Police or Crime Stoppers.
Investigators will also review images captured by security or closed circuit camera’s in the area.
The victims identity won’t be released until the autopsy is completed.
