The gold-medal match-up in women’s hockey is a familiar one.
Canada will get to defend the Olympic title after defeating Switzerland 3-1.
That means Canada will once again play the United States.
It will be the fourth time the two countries have met in the final.
Canada has won the last three gold medals.
They’re calling it their best performance of the year.
Canada’s Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir won ice dancing silver in what is likely their last Olympic appearance.
The pair briefly set a world record in free program before it was topped by Americans Charlie White and Meryl Davis.
It’s the first time the United States has won gold in the event.
The silver medal moves Canada to 15 so far at the Winter Games.
That ties Canada for fourth in the standings with Norway.
The United States and Russia are tied in first with 18 apiece followed by the Netherlands at 17.
Canada has six more days to beat the mark of 26 won at the 2010 Vancouver Games.
She hasn’t won a medal yet but Jennifer Jones is in the Olympic history book.
The Winnipeg skip’s 9-4 victory against South Korea means Canada finishes the round robin 9-and-0.
It’s the first time a women’s rink has gone undefeated in preliminary play.
Jones will play Britain in the semifinal.
Canada came up empty in two-man bobsled and men’s aerials.
Justin Kripps and Brian Barnett were fourth heading into the bobsled final only to finish sixth.
In aerials, Travis Gerrits couldn’t advance to the final and had to settle for seventh place.
