Police close animal abuse case with no charges

It appears no charges are coming in the reported case of a dog found gagged with its paws bound in the northeast.
the investigation was launched February 7th after the dog’s owner complained he found his husky-cross several blocks from his home in Whitehorn.
It was alleged the dog was taken from his yard earlier in the day.
Police say their investigation yielded unexplained inconsistencies with the complaint, so the animal abuse investigation has been closed.
However, detectives continue to look at several other aspects of the case, including fundraising efforts.
Police would like anyone who donated donated money to this cause to contact investigators, as they may be able to return your money.
This is a separate case from the Willowpark incident where a dog and cat were found dead with their mouths taped shut in mid-January.
