Seasonal Bow Valley Parkway restriction

Overnight travel restrictions on a 17 km stretch of highway between Banff and Lake Louise will go into effect starting Saturday.
The section of the Bow Valley Parkway, parallel to the Trans-Canada, will be off limits overnight until June 25th.
Dave McDonough, Superintendent of Banff National Park, said it’s to let the wildlife utilize the area in the important spring months and comes as a time when visitor travel is usually pretty low.
He adds none of the commercial facilities along the parkway will be affected.
