Warrant out for second person in 2012 murder

    Police are searching for a 21 year-old Calgary man in connection with the 2012 murder of Gatleak Thor Metkurjock, one day after announcing charges against a 19 year-old in the case.

     On Wednesday, January 25th, 2012, 911 was called after a man was seen laying on the ground in front of a home in Bankview in the 2100 block of 16 Street Southwest.

     The man was taken to hospital but died the next day of blunt force trauma.

    Following a more than two year investigation police arrested and charged a 19 year-old man on Tuesday and charged him with second degree murder in the case.
 
    He can’t be identified because he was only 17 at the time of the incident.

     On Wednesday, police announced a warrant has been issued for the arrest of 21 year-old Anthony Ambrose Brothers of Calgary.

    He’s wanted on one count of second degree murder in the case and is described as Aboriginal, 5’9″ tall approximately 190 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
   
    In a news conference on the murder on Tuesday, Calgary Police said they believed the victim and suspects knew one another and had been involved in an ongoing dispute when Metkurjock was hit with a frying pan at a house party.
