A new graduation policy at a southeast high school has students and parents fuming.
The rules at Lord Beaverbrook ban Grade 12 students from crossing the graduation stage if they haven’t received at least 50 per cent in all of their classes.
That policy stands even if the student has all the requirements to graduate.
An online petition to remove the restrictions which also demand the student keep good attendance already has 1600 signatures.
The Calgary Board of Education says they are aware of the complaints.
