The motive for a bloody and deadly attack on workers at an Edmonton grocery warehouse remains a mystery for now, but police are at least able to say they believe the victims were chosen at random, not targeted.
Police Chief Rod Knecht said Monday, investigators are continuing to talk to dozens of witnesses in order to understand more about the crime and the alleged killer.
Two men were fatally stabbed, and four others injured in the attack.
Knecht says although all six are black, it doesn’t appear race was a reason for the rampage.
Jayme Pasieka, 29, is charged in the attack.
