Monday’s question period certainly got intense at times with opposition parties quickly criticizing the actions of the Redford government.
Wildrose leader Danielle Smith wasted no time calling out Sandra Jansen for a comment last week that Len Webber should reconsider his step into federal politics and go back into being an electrician.
Though Jansen wasn’t present, Deputy Premier Dave Hancock defended her by saying the comment was made in the heat of the moment and added that it wasn’t an insult to electricians.
Also under fire, Premier Alison Redford, who was put on the spot by New Democrat Leader Brian Mason.
“I regret having to ask this question but it must be asked. To the premier, do you have enough support to continue governing?” asked Mason.
To which Redford responded by thanking the honourable member for his question after a majority of the PC party on hand stood and applauded to show support for Redford.
Mason was referring to the recent exit of Tory caucus members Len Webber and Donna Kennedy-Glans, who now sit as independents.
