Bearspaw home destroyed after massive blaze

A luxury home in Bearspaw was destroyed in a massive fire Tuesday afternoon.

The blaze broke out at around 3:00 p.m. along Woodlands Estates Crescent.

Dax Huba, Rocky View County fire chief, tells 660News it was tough to get the fire under control.

“The really, really high winds caused the fire to spread quickly through the home,” he said.

“Fire crews weren’t able to save the home, but we did keep damage to the one property.”

All of the residents got out safely. Crews don’t yet know what caused the fire.
