Fatal crash in Airdrie

Poor driving conditions were factors in fatal crash at Nose Creek Park in Airdrie.

The driver was going northbound on Main Street when he lost control and ended up upside down in the water around 11:45 a.m. on Thursday.

Constable Jason Curtis tells 660News, they aren’t yet sure if the driver was going too fast.

“We did have very poor weather today with snow, ice and slush,” he says. “At that time of day, there was also blowing snow. We don’t know if speed was a factor or not.

The unconscious man was pulled from the wreckage and rushed to Foothills Hospital, but succumbed to his injuries.
