They are celebrating the start of spring in Banff with the springstART In The Park festival for the next three weekends.
John Bowden of Banff Heritage Tourism tells 660News they have activities planned for people of all ages.
“We’ve got everything from really family-friendly, youth-oriented programs to things of maybe of a slower pace such as our historical walking tours, heritage home tours, which are more in-depth,” says Bowden. “It’s mixed with arts, culture, history and heritage. There’s everything ranging from live performances, whether it be theatre or live music, to workshops. We’ve got a number of different workshops this year, which is kind of a new direction for this event, and that’s ranging from photography, to acrylic painting, to soapstone carving and a whole lot more.”
For the first day of the festival, Saturday April 5th, you can catch live music and family activities from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Banff Avenue Square.
