Twitter linked to marital splits

People who are on Twitter a lot run the risk of romantic conflict.

A study out of the University of Missouri found a link between Twitter use and relationship issues such as infidelity and even divorce.

An earlier study found a link between Facebook use and failed relationships.

The author suggests social networks can lead to jealousy and online relationships can harm real life ones.

His advice: couples can operate shared social media accounts to cut back on secrecy or simply cut back on their daily Twitter use.
