Jim Flaherty book of condolences in Calgary next week

Calgarians who want to send condolences on the recent passing of former finance minister Jim Flaherty can go to the Harry Hays building next week.

A book of condolences will be set up in the atrium of the Federal Government Building beginning on Monday and available for people to sign from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

A state funeral will be held for Flaherty this Wednesday in Toronto, the Prime Minister’s Office announced Friday, a formal government send-off for the man who shepherded Canada’s finances for the past eight years.
