A Calgary woman will spend 18 months in jail and serve three months probation for her role in the failed kidnapping and murder plot.
Tammy Earl, 40, was charged in 2013 with conspiracy to commit murder and later confessed to teaming up with a pair of men on a plan to kill the new boyfriend of the ex wife of one of her co-accused.
Calgary police say the plot was to toss the new boyfriend off a 200 foot drop into a ravine.
However, the plan never played out, instead it got shutdown when a Calgary Remand Centre cellmate of one of the accused men went to police.
