Easter egg hunt in Montreal gets out of control

Broken fencing, lost and crying children, and empty baskets; that was the aftermath of an Easter egg hunt in Montreal on Saturday.

A festival held in the suburb of Laval, was meant to usher in springtime with a noon hour hunt for 10,000 plastic easter eggs filled with goodies.

However, The National Post reports more than triple the amount of people expected showed up to the event.

One parent tells the paper, she got scared when she saw adults knocking kids over and rummaging through other participant’s baskets.

Within two minutes, all of the eggs were gone.

Hundreds of parents are now demanding a refund of the entry fee.
