Another measles case detected in Calgary Zone

Alberta Health Services has confirmed a new case of measles in the Calgary area, which brings the total number in the city’s health zone this year to eight.
Officials say the person infected did not get the virus while travelling, and did not have documentation of immunization.
The does involve multiple public exposure settings.
No further information will be released until a news conference Thursday afternoon with Calgary’s Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Judy MacDonald.
Earlier this month, students at Henry Wise Wood High School, Western Canada High, and Sherwood School were sent home to avoid spreading the infection.
At least two students contracted measles while traveling in the Philippines, which is dealing with a major outbreak.
