Downtown Throwdown Rail Jam takes over Stephen Avenue

Downtown Calgary will play host to a celebration of the Rocky Mountains Thursday afternoon.

Three tonnes of “Canada’s Best Snow” will be dumped on Stephen Avenue along with some of the best freestyle skiers and riders for the Downtown Throwdown Rail Jam.

It happens at noon in front of Flames Central on the 200 block of Stephen Avenue Mall.

Sunshine Village is hoping to highlight their amazing ski conditions.

The resort boasts one of the longest ski seasons in Canada and will stay wide open until Victoria Day on May 19th.
