Cold front hitting Calgary this weekend

Calgarians should try and soak up the sun Thursday, because the weather won’t last.
A northern cold front is hitting the city, with the plus 20 degree temperatures going down to zero on Friday afternoon.
There will also be some snow; possibly five cms on the weekend, but thankfully most should melt once it hits the ground.
Meteorologist David Spence said it’s not so much that it’s going to get chilly that is unusual, but rather how long it will last.
“The bigger deal is the length of the cold, it’s quite normal to see some snow storms in May,” he said. “What is unusual about this is the cold is going to last for several days.”
“The average high temperature is now in the mid-teens at the start of May and we’ll exceed that today (Thursday), but we won’t even come close over the next few days.”
Spence said the colder than normal temperatures could last a week.
