There were traffic tieups on 7th Avenue and Centre Street South downtown after a C-train hit a vehicle early Saturday evening.

Staff Sgt. Paul Wyatt tells 660News, two women were in a Chevy Cavalier when it was struck just before 7:00 p.m. resulting in plenty of damage to the vehicle and a major interruption to the LRT service.

Both women weren’t injured and were walking around the scene.

The cleanup took about an hour and traffic and C-train service is back to normal.
