Paramedics to be recognized this week

National Paramedic Services week is now underway, looking to bring recognition to the people who provide the essential service.

To mark the occasion, there will be an open house Sunday at EMS station #6 at 1940 Westmount Boulevard N.W.

There will be ambulance tours, a look at a number of medical tools, and some simulation training from 9:00a.m. – 12:00p.m.

There will be another open house on Saturday May 31, from 9:00a.m. to noon at EMS District Base #4 at 15100 Macleod Trail South.
