They can’t breathe fire or fly, but a group of dragons are going to make a new home at the Calgary Zoo.
Loka, the oldest Komodo dragon in captivity at 28-years old, has already arrived from the Toronto Zoo.
Four other Komodos, two females and two males, are on their way from the Colchester Zoo in the U.K.
They will be put into quarantine for 60 days before joining Loka in the Eurasia habitat.
The Komodo dragon is on a list of endangered species, and it’s estimated there are only three to five thousand of the reptiles left in the wild.
