A Calgary team is getting ready to play for a championship.
The Roughnecks head into Rochester Saturday night to take on the two-time defending champion Nighthawks.
Calgary won game one of the Champions Cup Final last weekend at the Saddledome, but Captain Andrew McBride said game two won’t be easy.
“They are 9-1 at home, so obviously it’s tough challenge, and a tough barn to get into, but I feel like we’re peaking at the right time,” he said. “Our goalie is playing fantastic and defense really stepped up to the plate and contained a really high powered offense in the Rochester Nighthawks.”
You can catch Saturday’s game on Sportsnet 960 the Fan, starting at 5:00 p.m.
