Calgary bars have World Cup fever

It’s all about the FIFA World Cup at Calgary eateries and pubs!

They’re preparing for an influx of customers planning to watch their team’s games on a big screen, with a nice cold beer.

Several places are tweeting out their excitement about broadcasting games.

The Manager of Wurst, in Mission, Chris Rosamund tells 660News, they’re planning to cook a special dish called ‘Curry Wurst’, and help cheer on their home team.

“Some of our taglines that our branding company has done for us are pretty funny; ‘Come watch Germany kick the schnitzel out of whoever they’re playing’,” he said.

Ship and Anchor, on 17th Ave, is another place readying the big screens for the first big game; you can even find a countdown on their website.
