Theo Fleury is being presented with an honorary degree from the University of Guelph-Humber.

The Doctor of Science degree is to recognize Fleury’s commitment to enhancing the psychological health and wellness of Canadians.

The school says the former Calgary Flame has shown “courage and leadership” in “lifting the veil of secrecy on trauma and abuse.”

The ceremony takes place in Toronto Monday.
