Calgary’s new National Music Centre at the gateway to the East Village will be a catalyst for discovery, innovation and renewal through music when it’s completed next year.
President and CEO Andrew Mosker tells 660News on Friday, he’s been watching the steel frame and steel member start to take shape and construction is going very well in several sections.
He says, “What has been incredibly challenging for this new architectural icon that we’re building for Calgary and for Canada, is how complicated the building has been throughout the design process and to see it come together as quickly as it is throughout the construction, is a real testament to the quality of the team that we have on site and how fast it’s coming together despite its complexities.”
Mosker suggests you watch all the construction work on their webcam at nmc.ca or drive by the site on 9th Ave., and 4th St., S.E. to see the east and west wings taking shape.
