Search for missing Calgary trio hits day 12

The search continues.

It’s now been 12 days since little Nathan O’Brien and his grandparents, Kathryn and Alvin Liknes, were last seen.

Crews remain at a large area in and around an Airdrie property as they work to find clues that will help with the investigation.

Officers continue going door to door at neighboring acreages and businesses asking residents to help them out by doing their own property checks.

Although an update on the case is not expected from police Friday, officers are busy at Spyhill Landfill, returning for a second day to search for evidence.

They completed their search of the East Calgary Landfill Thursday and are still deciding whether to search Shepard, the third landfill in the city.
