Several communities north of Calgary are under water restrictions because of the recent hot and dry weather.

The Mountain View Regional Water Services Commission, which serves, Didsbury, Bowden, Carstairs, Crossfield, Olds and Innisfail, has put in place a level 2 water restriction because reservoir levels are low.

A level two restriction means things like watering lawns, washing vehicles or homes and filling pools, hot tubs or fountains are not permitted.
