Calgary police are looking for a handful of suspects after a man was assaulted outside a northwest home early Tuesday morning.
Police say a man was leaving for work at 5:45a.m. in the 9900 block of Hidden Valley Drive N.W., when he was approached by a man with a gun.
The gunman tried to force him back into his home, but the man resisted.
That’s when several other men, who also had guns, jumped in and all four began to assault the victim.
After a short struggle, the man was able to break free and make a run for it.
The four men ran in the opposite direction, fleeing in a light-coloured car.
It’s not believed to be a random incident and investigators say the victim is not being co-operative, but they believe others in the neighbourhood may have seen or heard the commotion.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 403-266-1234 or Crime Stoppers.
