A man and woman have been killed in an early morning crash on the QE 2 near Olds, after their vehicle collided with a semi-trailer.
“Reports were that the semi-truck was stationary or pulled to the side, or in a pull-out, at the time of the collision when a car rear-ended the trailer,” Stuart Brideaux of EMS told 660News.
The incident happened around 5:30 a.m. Sunday, north of Township Road 334 on the northbound side of the highway.
Brideaux says the two occupants in the car were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Mounties are investigating the crash, and were re-directing traffic around the scene Sunday morning.
