Man killed in workplace accident

A man in his 50’s has been killed in workplace accident at business on Wrangler Way, south of 61st Avenue S.E.
EMS Spokesperson Stuart Brideaux says around 9:30a.m. Monday, workers were moving heavy equipment when it fell, and pinned a worker on the ground.
“The co-workers were able to use their machinery to remove the heavy equipment, and they intiated first aid, and called 911,” he said. “Unfortunately on EMS arrival, after a brief assessment and intervention, they declared the worker deceased as a result of his injuries.”
Nobody else was injured.
Occupational Health and Safety is investigating.
