Mounties in Banff say Monday’s poor weather is hampering the search for a hiker who has been missing for a week.
Last Monday, RCMP were given the missing persons report by friends of 40-year-old Ralph Greenaway, who had told friends he was going to the Mount Rundle area for the day but never returned.
Police found his vehicle in the area, but so far there’s no sign of Greenaway who’s described as an avid outdoorsman.
RCMP and Parks Canada workers have been searching on the ground and through the air and have also been utilizing volunteer groups to look for the man.
Police are asking anyone with information that may help locate Ralph Greenaway to contact the Banff RCMP at 403-763-6600.
