Final preparations are underway for the Terry Fox Run in Calgary this weekend.
Hundreds will gather at Eau Claire Market Sunday morning to walk, run, wheelchair, rollerblade or even push a stroller for the 1, 5 or 10 kilometre events.
Spokesperson Danielle Van Camp says registration opens at 9:30 a.m. where two young female cancer survivors will share their stories – celebrating 10-years of being cancer-free.
“We also have the Canadian Olympic athletes down to lead a warm up, Helen Uperton will lead that, and then we will kick off the run at 11 a.m.,” said Van Camp.
Those still wanting to register can do so online now, or by showing up at 9 a.m. on Sunday.
Van Camp said any amount of donation is welcome.
