Canadians cutting vacations short

Canadians are vacation deprived.
According to a study by Expedia.ca , we will be taking an average of two days less vacation time this year.
The same study found four in ten people have cancelled or postponed vacation plans because of work.
When they are on holidayS, 38 percent are still constantly checking their work e-mail or voicemail; up from 27 percent last year.
The majority of Canadians say they would be willing to make sacrifices to get more time off; including giving up video games, alcohol, TV or their smartphones for the period of a week.
