Another Calgary dog owner is facing charges after the pet caused serious injuries.
A woman was bitten on the face last Thursday morning in Radisson Heights.
A pit bull has been taken away by animal-bylaw services and is under a mandatory 10 day quarantine.
The owner has been charged with allowing an attack causing severe injuring and having an unlicensed dog, and could face a fine of up to $10-thousand dollars.
“Animal & Bylaw Services makes public safety a top priority and aggressive animal behaviour will not be tolerated,”said Damian Cole, manager of South Operations. “Under the Responsible Pet Ownership Bylaw, owners are held responsible for the behaviour of their animals and people must be aware of these responsibilities when looking to add a dog to their family.”
