RCMP have made two arrests in an eight year-old cold case murder from just outside Calgary city limits.
28 year-old David Daviau has been charged with first degree murder while 29 year-old Kyle Andree faces manslaughter and accessory charges after the December 2006 killing of 32 year-old Wayman Scott whose body was found in a frozen field near Conrich.
At the time, police weren’t sure where Scott, who had a long criminal history, had been murdered, but they’ve now determined he was shot and killed at a home in Calgary and his body dumped outside the city.
Both of the suspects, who are from Calgary have been arrested in Ontario and will be in the city on Wednesday to appear in court in relation to these charges.
RCMP say the investigation remains active and are looking for more information in the case.
