The Prentice government is justifying buying four TVs, at a grand total of $13,000.
The 80-inch screens will be installed in cabinet rooms in Edmonton and the McDougall Centre in Calgary.
The premier says they splurged on the technology to save on flying and driving ministers across the province to make meetings.
Critics say the Tories could have — and should have — made due with the 65-inch TVs they already own.
But Prentice argued the equipment was no longer reliable, which caused meetings to be cancelled or postponed.
