The Calgary Fire Department was busy battling two house fires in the southwest Tuesday night.
The first happened at around 7 pm on West Cedar Place in the community of West Springs.
Fire crews arrived to a two-storey home with thick, black smoke coming from the second floor. They were able to enter the home and put the fire out quickly.
A second fire broke out around 9:30 pm on the 3700 block of 45th Street S.W.
Smoke and flames were coming from a second floor window of a two-storey duplex.
The home was under construction and unoccupied at the time of the fire.
No injuries were reported in either incident.
