Cenovus Energy says its Foster Creek oilsands project has returned to normal operations after a massive forest fire at the Cold Lake Air Weapons Range led to a temporary shut-down.
The site halted operations May 23 for 11 full days.
The company said second quarter production will be impacted with 10,500 less barrels per day, but they expect to eventually get back up to their normal rate.
The Athabasca Natural Gas operation was also affected by the forest fire and is back in business.
Flames caused minor damage to peripheral equipment at some well sites, but natural gas wells were unaffected.
