Man rushed to hospital after crossbow attack

A man has been upgraded to stable condition, after a gruesome attack early Monday.

Detective Jack Russell says the victim showed up injured at the Sheldon Chumir Urgent Care Centre around 3 a-m.

“(He) claimed he was randomly shot with a crossbow in an underground parkade in the 800 block of 4 Avenue. He basically drove himself to the Sheldon Chumir,” he said.

Russell says the arrow went through the man’s shoulder and into his neck.

Police have taped off the parking lot where the incident occurred while they investigate.

No word on possible suspects in the case.
