Calgary Police are looking for one suspect after a man was found dead in a downtown alley on the weekend.
Around 11:15 p.m. on Sunday, police were called to an alley on 7th Street and 12th Avenue S.W. and found a man in his 30’s deceased.
The Homicide Unit is investigating and believe the victim met with someone else and altercation happened, with the victim also being robbed and the offender fleeing on foot.
Police say it’s possible it was a drug deal gone bad and there is nothing to indicate it was a random attack.
The cause of death and the victim’s identity have not been revealed and investigators are currently reviewing CCTV footage and speaking with witnesses.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
