Transit delays four-car CTrain testing

Calgary Transit is putting the brakes on its four-car CTrain testing.
Drivers were expected to begin training with the extra cars this week, but some last minute calculations have caused a setback.
Transit Spokesperson Ron Collins says they detected a risk of ‘nuisance faults’ in the power system.
“Based on what we’ve found here now, we just need to do a little more investigation and then start our four-car train training likely within a week,” he said.
Regular three-car service is running normally this week.
Collins says the week’s delay won’t affect the permanent roll out of the four-car trains starting in December.
