Police searching for kidnapping suspect

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted on warrants following an early morning kidnapping on Saturday.
At about 6:30 a.m., Calgary police were called about a man that was tied up and held at gunpoint earlier in the day.
The victim told police he escaped in a vehicle, but he was being followed by his kidnappers.
Officers located the man and the Guns and Gangs unit started investigating.
That lead to the arrest of one suspect, and a warrant is out for Ahmad Feraidoon Safari.
Safari, from Calgary, is described as a 19-year-old five foot tall Arabic man with a medium build.
He has green eyes and black hair, with chinese symbols tattooed on his neck and back, and a scar on the bridge of his nose.
Police don’t believe the kidnapping was random. Investigators are also looking for a 2011 grey Toyota RAV4 with the license plate BSD 7715.
