Big losses for Husky in third quarter

Husky Energy is reporting a brutal third quarter with a net loss of $4.1-billion.

However, a majority of the losses are due to Husky writing down the value of its non-cash assets.

If you exclude those, Husky’s loss was $101-million for the third quarter of 2015.

The company is considering selling off some of its oil and gas properties in Western Canada, but not its heavy or oilsands assets.

Husky also says it has cut 1,400 positions through the end of the third quarter.
