Alberta NDP issue apology for fundraiser advertising

The NDP have apologized for sending out invitations to a fundraiser billed as giving one-on-one access to Premier Rachel Notley and her cabinet.
In a statement, the party says Notley is there strictly in her role as head of the party.
Opposition Wildrose Critic Jason Nixon says the damage has been done and the event must be cancelled.
“For us, an apology isn’t enough. You can’t fundraise in an inappropriate way, and then change your mind and say, oops sorry I didn’t mean to do it like that, and then still continue on with the process,” he said.
The NDP says the event is still going ahead on November 26 in Calgary.
